OOTD Style My Thrift

(Outfit of The Day)

Fashion on a Costume Rental Website? I got some 'Splaining' to do.

If you have read any of my blogs, you will see that my path is circuitous, but the vignettes tie in. Similar to my passion for Upcycling Thrifted Textiles for my costume creations, I love to create outfits for myself from thrifted clothing and accessories. I've been thrifting since I was 16 years old and have been beating to my own drum ever since.

What I love about thrifting is that I can take fashion/styling 'risks' without breaking my bank. And have I made it onto fashion magazines' "Do & Don't" Page with the black-out over my eyes, emphasis on the Don't? Thankfully not literally, but figurativly, yes, but that's the beauty of thrifing, the loss is minimal.

I stumbled upon creating costumes about 5 years ago, but my love for style on a budget has been around for a long time. And on top of everything, I get to be 'green' and do something good for our planet

Thrifted Statement Necklace, Time Warp or Timeless?

2/7/20  Enjoyed wearing a statement necklace, although  I wonder if I'm time-warping or if I can bring the statement necklace forward? I refuse to give up on pieces I love!

Thrifted Folksy Quilted Jacket

2/7/20  I thrifted this quilted jacket with high hopes of making it fashion-forward instead of 'cat lady'.
